In just twenty minutes, our guest sustainability expert, Judith Murdoch, will explain the subtle but important differences between the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and its UK counterpart, the UK Forest Risk Commodity Regulation (UKFRC). She will advise what you need to do if the legislation applies to your business.
She will describe how fats and oils from AAK will fully comply with both sets of legislation, and how AAK sites in the UK can help prove compliance with EU legislation. This is despite the UK not being part of the EU and therefore not being part of the EU IT system for compliance.
Lastly, Judith will talk about the challenges of meeting Scope 3 targets in the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), and the tools that AAK has developed to make reductions in the carbon footprint of everyday food.
